Capturing Authentic Branding Portraits at Fremantle’s Fishing Harbour

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Matt Watson, Senior Fisheries Program Manager at the Marine Stewardship Council, around Fremantle’s fishing harbour. With his work so closely tied to the ocean and sustainable fishing, the harbour was the perfect setting to capture images that reflect both his role and his story.

Branding photography is about so much more than creating a polished headshot. Branding portraits taken on location tell a story — they show what someone does, the environment they work in, and help create an immediate sense of connection with their audience.

As a Perth branding photographer with 18 years of experience, I’ve worked with business owners across many industries to create images that showcase not just what they do, but why they do it.
My approach is relaxed and supportive, especially for those who feel camera shy — so every client walks away with authentic portraits that represent them and their work.
That’s exactly what Matt was looking for in his portraits, and here’s what he had to say about the experience:
“A wonderful morning shooting with Andrea around some great spots in Freo. The finished photos were with me shortly after payment and I was exceptionally happy with how they turned out. Really in tune with my vision of corporate headshots that were more than corporate headshots. She really captured what my work is about and for that I'm very grateful.”
